If you’re a little adventurous like me, then you opt to find hole in a wall food places instead of those on the more famous list. Im sure you know these restaurants on the A list like Josephine’s, Leslie’s, RSM, Rowena’s, etc. But sometimes, a cozier ambiance, unique food and lesser crowd are all what we need.

Let’s travel to Tagaytay and explore some hidden gems that you might want to check out on to your next road trip.

1.) Cliffhouse, Tagaytay

Address: Km 58 Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo Highway, Tagaytay, 4120

Cliffhouse consist of different quirky inns and restaurants in their space. Some restaurants in the are are Cafe Breton, Fire Lake Grill, Buon Giorno (Personal Fave), Cafe Platito, etc.

I suggest you visit during night time. Trees are sparkled with colorful lights, scenic night view of the Lake will leave you breathless and homey restaurants all around perfect for your date nights with your loved one/s. After a good meal, you can just sit and relax on the benches facing the fascinating view, reflect on life and remember how good it is.

It was a hole in a wall before it got famous. I remember wanting to go here but we always couldn’t find it (see..hole in a wall), but now it has expanded and everybody knows where it is located! It always pops up whenever you look for “Where to eat in Tagaytay” or “Restaurants in Tagaytay”, with all these you can probably be assured that there’s good stuff in here.

Why did I include this when it’s already famous? Well, ’cause why not? Bag of Beans is a very spacious resto with different themes per area. It seems small outside but when you get in, there are these rooms filled with tables and chairs with different styles. Everywhere is Instagram worthy (if you know what I mean). It can get crowded on Holidays but because of its space, you can still feel all cozy and warm.

So before you head home, get your coffee-cheesecake fix here at Bag of Beans and maybe take home for your loved ones who weren’t able to make it.

Price for 2: Php minimum 600

So that’s it for today! Have a break and breathe in fresh air. Ask your family and friends for a road trip to Tagaytay and visit these lovely restos.
